How To Apply
Applications will be considered from both active fishers/sea farmers and new entrants. Application forms can be downloaded from our website or you can request that a paper form be mailed to you. Please contact one of our offices or your Coastal Resource Coordinator to make this request.
Making payments and receiving advances of funds
Electronic funds transfer is the preferred method of payment. To be set up for Electronic Funds Transfer (Pre-authorized debit), complete the Payment Authorization form, attach a void cheque, and deliver it to us. Payments to suppliers, vendors or solicitors can also be arranged by completing and returning the Electronic Funds Transfer Form (EFT).

New Vessel Construction
Construction of a new vessel is an exciting project. It provides an opportunity to build a customized vessel to meet your needs. A Bill of Materials must be completed by the boat builder as part of your application. Forms for you and your builder are included. You may also wish to use our quote details form - this is available below on this page as Appendix B.
Used Vessel
Have you found a used vessel you know would work for you? The Board finances used boats. We look at the current condition of the vessel and set the useful life. Loans are set to be repaid over that period.
Main Engine, Vessel Modification and Upgrades
Upgrades to your vessel will make things run better and increase efficiencies, we finance these changes too. Whether it is a new engine, an extension to your vessel or equipment changes—we can help.
Purchase of Licence(s) or Fishing Enterprise (License, Vessel and Gear)
Whether you are purchasing an entire fishing enterprise (license(s), used vessel and gear), stacking licenses or adding new species, we can finance your request. We consider licence and enterprise purchases to be a long-term investment so we support you with long term loans.

Bait Freezers/Specialized Equipment and Aquaculture
We understand times are changing. Sometimes it is worth freezing bait to control your expenses in your season. We can help with bait freezers and specialized equipment.
Are you considering upgrades or additional investment into your aquaculture operation? We consider financing these types of expansions on existing infrastructure.
